Llandudno's position on the Creuddyn Peninsula means it receives weather from two directions simultaneously — north-westerly Atlantic systems funnelled between the Great Orme and Little Orme, and south-westerly fronts tracking up the Conwy Valley. The Victorian and Edwardian terraces that make up the majority of Llandudno's housing stock are well-built, but their original lime mortar bedding and leadwork is now well over a century old in many cases.
